The Innovation Pavilion at Pistahan is an exciting and vibrant event co-chaired by Fatima Wright and Raymond Centeno in partnership with YBCA, YFPA, ALA, Facine, and Asiapacforce/Filipinoforce of Salesforce. This pavilion is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating various forms of innovation within the Filipino community and beyond. Throughout the weekend, the Pistahan Innovation Pavilion is hosting a series of engaging panel discussions with experts focusing on key areas of innovation. Our aim is to foster insightful conversations and explore groundbreaking ideas that contribute to positive change and progress in these fields.
And to foster connections and collaboration, Pistahan is hosting the famous Halo-Halo Mixer. This mixer brings together Equality Groups, Community Organizations, and Businesses to network and celebrate through delicious food, drinks, and entertainment from the relaunched Bayanihan Stage. The company believes that de-escalation and verbal self defense are just as important as physical defense techniques.

Living in a remote corner of the Philippine islands, Agustin is a tribesman who loves to sing, but never had the opportunity to learn to read or write. When his boss cheats him out of his wages seemingly for the thousandth time, 40-year old Agustin decides to enroll in grade 1.

YFPA Events
For almost 15 years, YFPA's monthly events in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area help friends, neighbors, and professionals in the Filipino American community connect, educate, and serve. Our events range from collaborations, partnerships, sponsorships, volunteerism and charitable outreach, professional development seminars, panel discussions and of course, professional networking and social mixers.
This year, our new directive is the Tambayan, pilipino for "hangout place among friends". YFPA Tambayan is casual, fun, and builds relationships so that members and guests can build stronger networks. For the organizers, YFPA Tambayan also requires less expenditure of energy so that all our focus and volunteer energy is going into the most important activities of professional networking and building value in YFPA membership. We hope you can join us at all our Tambayan meetups this year!
